yey! the MTV VJ Hunt had it's first tv airing a while ago. based on the finalist profiles, i may say that it would be hard to say who is really deserving. they have different personalities. they're different persons raised in different places. some know how to capture the eyes of the Filipinos but for some, they're doing it with their own style. as i was watching the first episolde earlier, i noticed that almost everyone on the final list were models and/or has anything related to hiphop. it's obvious, how they dress and all, their way of speaking., etc. but really, there's someone who is very deserving of them all.. Jonathan Sibulo.

aside from having an experience for the said "job", he really connects well to people. he knows where to put himself and has this strong pleasing personality. i love it! really. i was very much excited to see him back on TV after hosting for jack TV several months ago. so yes, i'll be rooting for him. we will be. that's for sure!

Mae, a band presiding from Virginia Beach, Virginia, broke out into the scene in February of 2003 under the growing label Tooth and Nail Records. Their first release under Tooth and Nail, "Destination: Beautiful", was a success with over 70,000 copies sold as Mae toured with it. A little bit later, they released a second compilation of B-Sides and Demos properly named "Destination: B-Sides" which included the first single to the "The Everglow" called "Suspension".
Many who have heard of Mae is known to love them for their heartfelt lyrics of love, lost of it, sadness, and deep emotions that their singer Dave Elkins writes of that makes everything work. Incorporating beautiful piano interludes and lines with light guitars and a rhythm section to keep things in place, Mae has a formula that works where many have failed. Now, with Mae's newest album "The Everglow", it takes the band a huge step forward in progressing as a band itself instead of individuality as portrayed in "Destination: Beautiful". As a fan of Mae, I would not compare "The Everglow" to "Destination: Beautiful" in terms of music. As "Destination: Beautiful" focuses on ballads and softer songs, "The Everglow" goes more into more heavier territories but not too much as it will still sound nice and serene. "The Everglow" is actually a story within itself in which we follow a boy through his love life and his journey to "The Everglow". It takes him through his dwelling on the past of his recent breakup, how he needs someone, his mistakes, and so on.

you would regret buying this CD. it shows the gratitude of the artists today to the APO Hiking Society who became one of their influences in the music business. i really look up to APO. i believe that they've cotributed a lot in making Filipino Music very successful.
